Matthias Bormuth (ur. 1963) – profesor historii idei na Uniwersytecie w Oldenburgu.

Matthias Bormuth is Professor of Comparative Intellectual History at the University of Oldenburg and Director of the Karl Jaspers-Haus. He has studied medicine and worked as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist for several years. In English he is the author of Life Conduct in Modern Times: Karl Jaspers and Psychoanalysis (Dordrecht: Springer, 2006).
